IconSort is a free and small utility which can store/restore the position of the icons on the Windows Desktop. IconSort is very useful if you frequently change between different video resolutions or if your icons simply get randomly disordered. .

DesktopIconManager, called DIManager, is a helpful tool for saving the current position of your desktop icons in profiles for different resolutions. After changing your resolution or reinstall you can load your favorite profile to set your icons into the old position.

I have downloaded these little folders on my work PC and every PC I use because #1 - they are FREE and heck can't beat that, so why be so judgemental, I figure if you want high quality, go and have some made to your standards and pay the bucks for them. They are colorful, and for a quick fix'er upper they work just fine.
